Water well drillers: partner with Well Drilling Pros
Well Drilling Pros connects rural landowners who need a new private well with one drilling company per county. This page explains how those requests are created, how county territories are held and how to apply.
Drilling companies we want
We are looking for licensed water well drilling contractors who drill new domestic wells, replace failed wells, deepen or hydrofracture low-yield wells, and set the pump, pitless adapter and pressure tank to finish the job. Outfits that also handle well abandonment and plugging are especially useful, because owners replacing an old well often need both.
Well Drilling Pros does not own a rig. The site is an independent guide published by Cornelia Cove LLC. We explain how depth, geology, casing and permits affect a drilling project so the landowner is ready for a real conversation when you call.
How the requests start
People find us while planning a house on land with no public water, after a well goes dry, when a lender or buyer wants a water supply confirmed, or when a shallow dug well keeps failing tests. They read our cost guides, the state and county pages that explain permit and setback rules, and the comparison pages that contrast drilled and bored wells.
When they want a driller, they use the request form on the site. It collects a name, phone number, the service they need, their city or area, how urgent the job is and a description in their own words. Where they used one of the free tools first, the result is included. Nobody is entered into a request they did not submit.
What a request tells you
Each request is read by a person before it is passed on. You see the contact details, the location, the urgency the owner chose and their description, which often mentions lot access, nearby wells, whether a house is under construction and any depth figures they were given by neighbors or a previous driller. Requests from households currently without water are flagged.
Owners are told that their request may go to an independent local company. We never say that you are part of our business, and we never promise a price on your behalf.
Exclusive counties, assigned first come
Each county has one drilling partner. New-well and replacement requests from inside your county go to you alone and are not resold or shared. Well permits and setback rules are generally administered by state and county agencies, so the county line is the natural boundary.
The first qualified driller to complete onboarding for a county holds it. If someone already has your county, ask for its waiting list or for an adjoining county that is still open. We will not hand out more territory than your rigs and crews can reach in a reasonable time.
What we expect from partners
Hold the water well contractor license your state requires and carry liability insurance, and be ready to share proof. Give written proposals that separate drilling, casing, grouting, the pump system, permits and site restoration, and explain clearly how footage beyond the estimate will be charged. Answer new requests promptly and tell us when a request was invalid or outside your area.
Be straight with owners about dry-hole risk and yield uncertainty. Our pages tell them no driller can promise water at a set depth, and a partner who says the same thing builds trust.
When drilling requests tend to arrive
Interest in new wells follows the building calendar: land buyers and owner-builders start asking when they close on a lot or receive a septic and well permit, and replacement requests rise when a dry spell drops shallow wells. Many of these owners have never hired a driller before. They want to understand the steps, from permit to pump test to water sample, and they appreciate a contractor who explains the order of work and who handles the paperwork with the health department.
Questions drillers ask us
Do you send pump-only service calls? Some arrive, and we tell owners that a drilling company may refer pump work elsewhere. Do owners understand that depth drives the cost? Our guides explain it, and many arrive asking how deep local wells usually go. Can a driller cover two neighboring counties? Yes, if both are open and you can serve them.
How to apply
Use the request form on our contact page and write "Partner application" at the start of the description. Include your company name, the counties you want, your license number, your insurance carrier and the services you offer. We reply by email.
Terms are agreed individually with each company before any request is sent. We do not publish partner prices and we do not promise a number of requests; demand depends on the county, building activity and the season.
